Malcolm Biddle - Senior Operations Manager

Malcolm brings to Providence the sharp focus and excellent judgement and leadership skills gained during a 34-year career as a critical care flight paramedic that was distinguished by continuous employment and continual promotions. His paramedic career culminated in his retirement as Chief of the world-renowned British Columbia Ambulance Infant Transport Team. His responsibilities included managing, supervising and working with a team of  highly trained paramedics. He was also the liaison to the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of British Columbia medical transport advisory committees.
Before joining Providence, Malcolm co-founded and directed a successful private air ambulance company where he was instrumental in its development and growth. Now, his recruitment into the position of Senior Operations Manager, Providence Air Ambulance completes a dynamic management team. The team’s vision is to provide safe, high-quality air ambulance services with unsurpassed customer service and client satisfaction.

Raymond Sims - Vice President, Director of Clinical Practice

Raymond Sims is a critical care practitioner/clinician who has provided front-line transport care to neonatal, paediatric, and high-risk obstetrical patients for over 40 years. For the past 20 years, he has instructed health care providers as a subject matter expert in the field of stabilization and transport of these patients. As a lead clinical instructor of the Infant Transport Program, Ray has twice been awarded the Excellence in Education Award: in 2003 by the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of BC, and again in 2013 by BC Emergency Health Services.
Ray maintains licensure in good standing under the paramedic licensing authority in British Columbia (Emergency Medical Licensing Branch of BC or EMALB) at the Critical Care level.
